Cube of the Machine Elves

If there are any trippers out there, please take note – this is not a flashback, it is just a video of an infinite, 3-dimensional fractal ‘solid’. An intense, intense, freakifractalopsychedelic video:

Totally stolen from Pesco at Boing Boing; it was just way too cool to risk any of y’all missing out on it.

Ho-ly shit. That is the most realistic portrayal of…that, that i have ever seen. I’m shaking right now, no lie. While THAT may not be a flashback, it’s definitely evoking one.

Yeah, glad I’m not the only one. I think it’s a combination of the arabesque-type patterns, the recursive ‘within-the-within’, and the soundtrack. Almost triggers an altered state watching it.

      1. Yes sir.
That’s definitely it. Also the mutation of rigid-to-sharp shapes, who’s Magnitude alternates depending how far you are from it, or at which angle you’re observing it. Even then, i don’t even know if that’s a good description. The video is without-a-doubt a work of art, and explains it better than i could. Thank’s for posting Greg.

RPJ, have you ever played in VR? If you can immerse yourself in the experience, even partially suspend your connection to the ‘real world’ and become the avatar in your world, you can easily lose yourself… just like I could in this vid whilst listening to Pink Floyd ‘Echoes’.

I’m a very avid gamer. I just finished playing Assassins Creed 2 on Xbox 360, and let me tell you, just for the immersive experience of exploring the Renaissance Italian cities in which the story is centered in, is definitely worth the price of the disc.

(In fact, this game is a must-play for any person interested in conspiracy theories, ancient astronauts and secret societies, perhaps I should write a review of it, once I get my hands on the third installment of the series).
