Netflix’s German-language series Dark is one of our favourite television shows in recent years here at the Grail, on the basis of its masterful handling of a complex storyline involving both sci-fi and esoteric elements (see for example our previous article, “The Emerald Tablet: The Esoteric Text at the Core of Netflix’s Hit Series Dark“).
The good news for Dark fans: Season 3 drops Friday, June 26 (2020, for all you time travelers out there)! The bad news: It sounds like Season 3 is the final season, from the very on-brand tagline: “The end is the beginning. And the beginning is the end.”

To be honest, in many ways it feels good that this could be the final season – the management of the storyline so far has been brilliant, and it feels like one more season would wrap it up fairly tightly without any bloat or loss of precision in navigating the complex timelines in this TV sci-fi masterpiece.
