If you’re in the U.K. (or close enough nearby) and interested in shamanism, psychedelia, altered states of consciousness and parapsychology, be sure to grab a last-minute ticket for Breaking Convention 2019, which is on this weekend:
Europe’s largest conference on psychedelic consciousness, Breaking Convention debuted at the University of Kent in 2011 to an audience of 500 delegates. Now approaching its eighth year, and at its new home at the University of Greenwich, it has developed into a truly multi-faceted festival selling well over a thousand tickets in forty countries and offering the latest ground-breaking research and insights across human and social sciences, law, politics, art, history and philosophy.
I’ve just looked through the programme, and the line-up and list of topics being discussed is mind-blowing (no pun intended)….three solid days of expert presenters – including Mike Jay, Amanda Feilding, Jonathan Ott, Christian Rätsch, David Luke and Bruce Parry – discussing all manner of fascinating topics (including, but hardly limited to, DMT journeys, conspiracy theories, and paranormal ethnographies).
Add on to that a psychedelic art exhibition, film showings, DJ sets, workshops and more, and it’s sure to be an amazing weekend at Breaking Convention 2019. Tickets are available through EventBrite – and for a detailed look at the programme, speakers and topics being discussed, download the PDF Event Guide.
Be sure to report back if you attend, it promises to be an amazing conference!
