The X-Files returned to TV screens last year, but many were left underwhelmed with what seemed to be too many ideas crammed into a short run of episodes (just six in total). The good news is the much-loved paranormal drama is returning in 2018 with an eleventh season that will have a luxurious ten episodes to continue the story from last year’s cliff-hanger finale.
Season XI of The X-Files will once again be executive-produced by the show’s creator Chris Carter, and stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson return as Mulder and Scully – along with other long-time characters Director Skinner, Cigarette-Smoking Man even a bit of Lone Gunmen action. The bad news: Gillian Anderson has confirmed that this will the last season for Dana Scully.
