Time Trap: Sci-fi Comedy Short Offers an Explanation for Anomalistic Alien Sightings

    1. My most visceral UFO sighting
      My most visceral UFO sighting happened about ten years ago. Above my house way up there in a perfectly clear sky I saw what appeared to be a huge silvery, reflective mother ship spinning vortically around it a huge water vapor cloud presumably to act as cloaking device.In the time it took me to race inside and grab my binoculars and return to the lawn to focus upwards – which I later calculated took 7 seconds – the object and its cloud had completely disappeared. Just a rough guess – the outwardly spreading cloud was maybe 5 miles in diameter. This struck me as being a hyper-dimensional vanishing act.

      I happened to be throwing a ball with a “chuck-it” for my dog and had accidentally thrown it straight up where I saw the UFO – otherwise I would never had noticed it.

          No reaction from the dog, but I wasn’t really paying an attention to the dog. The craft was way up there. My judge of distances is probably not completely accurate as to the size of he craft or the cloud it was spinning, but my best guess was both the craft and cloud were huge. Just watching the rate at which the cloud was being spread gave me most of my perspective. That same day I went on Youtube and found a similar sighting. The videoed sighting linked below doesn’t very clearly show the craft, but the camera man can clearly see the object spreading the cloud. I notice too that the video was uploaded in 2009, so my sighting was more like 5 years ago – not ten. Time recollection has become more vague for me as I age. Another thing – my sighting was at sunrise on a perfectly clear, low humidity morning – my area was sitting under a weather high – so the silvery reflections glinting off the craft’s underside made it very distinct visually.

          My sighting immediately recalled for me an instance reported in The Andreaason Affair when Betty Andreasson was taken to a large mother ship hovering in place above earth but still within its atmosphere while shooting out water vapor from huge nozzles attached to the craft’s surface so as to proved some cloaking.

          I should also mention that my life changed shortly thereafter – that was about the time I started making orgonite and embarking on what could be called a new phase in my life. To tell the truth, I hadn’t recalled the synchronicity until realizing the actual date of my sighting.

            That is indeed an interesting synchro.

            Re. the formation of clouds as a ‘cloaking’ technology: I know that has been a prevalent notion since the early days of the modern UFO era, but if you think about it, it makes little sense. If we’re talking about a technology capable of traveling (or materializing) into our world (or our reality) and defying the laws of Gravity, you’d think they would be able to camouflage themselves using more sophisticated methods –i.e. bending light around the craft in order to make it invisible to the naked eye.

            Perhaps there’s something else behind the UFOs creating the clouds, aside from just hiding inside them. Maybe it’s a byproduct of something else going on.

            Yeah, I agree – it is not very high tech. Perhaps it is a “signal” crude enough for humans to grok but psychologically distant enough not to freak a human out. My sighting had the feel of a being a “signal.

            In the Andreeason Affair Books lots of the interactions with craft had something to do with water though. Betty had seen craft using water to “flush the cyclokinetic trowel” which wording – “placed in her mind” made no sense to her, but upon examination by UFO techies sounded like it had something to do with an anti-gravity vortex engine. Also, Betty reported seeing a group of ships landed on the ground using grounding rods and water vapor clouds to de-gauss the craft. Again, Betty had no knowledge of physics but reported the worded explanation that was then put in the books. She also witnessed the same crafts diminishing in size – the word placed in her mind mind to pertain to this was “deopulation” a word that made no sense at all to Betty, but is a rather clever English word to describe a diminution in size.

            There are of course many sightings of craft being observed to take up lake water and then re-eject it back into the lake indicating some kind of flushing perhaps.

          4. Liquid aliens
            Thx for the link. BTW a friend of mine is about to publish a very interesting book in which he posits some really insightful ideas; one of them is the ‘liquid’ nature of alien entities. Think about it: Like water, the aliens can ‘morph’ and adapt to different cultural circumstances. Also, like you said, the fact that water is so prevalent in many cultural traditions involving non-human/supernatural entities –e.g. Ondinas and the ‘Lady of the lake’ in the Arturian legends.

            Keanu Reeves says in the Constantine movie that water is the universal conduit. I’m starting to believe that’s exactly the case.

          7. A couple ones
            There’s a couple of tentative titles. Also, it seems he’s going to be interviewed this week for Mysterious Universe, so I’ll keep you guys posted on that 🙂
