Meanwhile, beyond the tipping point…

Quote of the Day:

“Diddly dum, diddly dum, Vworp!”

  1. Terminate Drones
It’s unlikely the drones were a viral marketing scheme. The primary (nearly only) outlet was around before Sarah Connor’s show. It’s far more likely that the show’s people were taking a chance on grabbing something they didn’t have to develop but wouldn’t get them in trouble. Columbia did the same with THE NET in 1995, but it backfired on them. Early in the film when Sandra Bullock is testing a game, they originally showed the cover of the game package. It was an exact copy of the inside back cover of the second SubGenius book. It was also on the original movie poster. When the head of the Church of the SubGenius, Ivan Stang, contacted them to ask for simple acknowledgement, rather than risk having to pay they just cut it all out. I’m betting Fox, knowing they’re extremely cheap, did the same, but are banking on the fact that the source has been pretty much discredited, and would have to out herself as a hoaxer in order to claim copyright over the images.

No, I am not the brain specialist…..
YES. Yes I AM the brain specialist.

  2. LUCA
Perhaps someone knows more about this:

Given the assumption that our form of life arose from a non-life environment, I would guess that more than one form of life arose from that environment. I would guess this because life is apparently not very unlikely, hence you would get more than one form.

The Science Daily article doesn’t really talk about.

Perhaps the life forms we see today are a combination of different origins?

Also, if our current earth is fertile in the sense of being able to create life, does life formation still take place today? I would guess that it does.

  3. Purple Squirrel
How lovely! If they distribute Kool Aid in Britain, I’ll bet it was involved. You can use Kool Aid to permanently dye fiber and it’s perfectly harmless. I used the Grape flavor to dye some white wool yarn a medium purple. Maybe the little critter fell into a drink pitcher.

    1. poor little animal
Seeing that the squirrel is in the school colors, this could be a prank.

Catch some of the little buggers, dip them in dye, and let them go.

Also, there are things like photoshop and gimp.

  4. The year in weird science and myth-busting.
Poinsettia flowers toxic???? Gimme a break

Those flowers are indigenous of Mexico. We call them Flor de Nochebuena (Xmas’ Eve flower). The name Poinsettia comes from the American Ambassador SOB who ‘aproppriated’ it —i.e. STOLE it.

That flower has been grown and kept for countless generations. My mother has a big bush that blossoms every winter and it’s a wonderful sight to see.

People get nervous over the silliest things.
