This weekend sees the Horizons 2008 conference taking place in New York City, discussing topics related to psychedelics:

Times are changing. The freewheeling sixties are now a distant memory and the hype of the millennial rave fever has finally been laid to rest. Now, a small group of dedicated researchers and activists has orchestrated a renaissance in psychedelic research that is re-shaping the public’s understanding of these unique substances.     Suppose, as well as devising a system using the “angelic language” called Enochian for invoking and communicating with “angelic beings”, the Elizabethan occultist Dr. John Dee had also come up with a secret “inverted” Enochian methodology by which Satan himself and all the demons of hell could be invoked and communicated with? Then suppose that Dee hid this manuscript so carefully that it was lost to history, and that it was rediscovered recently? This is the claim made for the new book (available only on eBAY – search eBAY for “ordines descendens”) which is a copy of this “lost” demonic Enochian system taken from a single surviving manuscript printed in 1790. It was published last year in a limited edition of just 200 copies, and by the time most people who were interested in it had heard about it, it was sold out. Now there is a second edition available. It includes a new set of Enochian keys, including one for the “Angel of Death”, and the Enochian language seems to be 100% authentic. This book is a “must” for anyone who appreciates ancient occult grimoires, or wishes to expand their knowledge of Enochian magic (or, come to that, anyone who wants to send their boss a visit from a demonic entity!)
