The Legendary Times website is carrying some breaking news from Egypt, regarding the recent Valley of the Kings discovery:
Controversy over the discovery of a new tomb in the Egyptian Valley of the Kings: Not the American Otto Schaden is the discoverer as officially announced over the past few days by the Egyptian Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) – but it is the well known British Egyptologist Nicholas Reeves!
Reeves says that his team first discovered the tomb via the “ground-penetrating survey of our concession in 2000”, but they didn’t continue on with it in order to safeguard the integrity of the tomb. His excavation licence was then revoked and the American team went on to break into the tomb. Thanks Uli.
