The latest issue of Scientific American has been released, with details and free content available at the SciAm website. Of note in the November issue is Michael Shermer’s debunking attempt on Rupert Sheldrake’s ideas, from morphogenetic fields to the sense of being stared at (which I’m sure we’ll see one hell of a reply to, considering Rupert’s past responses). Also worth looking at is an article on whether life on Earth life originated on another planet, and preparations for an inevitable pandemic. Check the SciAm website for full details of this issue, or pick it up from your local newsagent.
