  1. FDR and Nicholas Roerich’s mission to Shambhala
    At the beginning of the article we’re told that in 1934, FDR sent Nicolas Roerich and U.S. Sec. of Agriculture Henry A. Wallace to Mongolia to search for Shambhala (Shangri La) and bring something back from there. Near the end of the article, we’re told that in 1942, after James Doolittle successfully bombed Tokyo, the world press asked FDR where the planes came from; and smiling broadly, the president said, “They came from a secret base in Shangri-La.” In between, the author speculates about what Roerich found and brought back to FDR.

    To me, the most interesting aspects of this article is that it clearly shows how human history, both ancient and modern, has been edited for public consumption. “Dead annoying, really”, as Ron Weasley would say. Whoever (or whatever) they are, those who continually strive to keep humanity in the dark have an amazing amount of power. In this particular case, it seems plain enough that the ‘who’ was FDR, and the ‘why’ was for “reasons of national security”. But then there’s the case of President Jimmy Carter’s request for all the information on UFOs being denied — because he didn’t have a “need to know”. Will humanity ever, in the eyes of those unknowns, have a “need to know” exactly who it is that has so much power they can deny a U.S. President’s request? Or who has the power to successfully label as “conspiracy nuts” all those who seek answers to these kinds of questions?

      That’s an excellent question Kat.I wish I knew the answer too.
      I read once in an article in the paper quite a few years ago that there are 17 levels of intelligence that the president must go through before he is cleared to see stuff.
      Now I wouldn’t know if that was true, it is just what I read.But it seems obvious that there are some levels of clearance even for him.
      The situation is different in some European countries where they have decided to be open about unidentified aerial phenomena, to the extent anyway that they don’t hide sightings from the media.
      Maybe now with Mars and Titan becoming focal points of interest things will change.
      Who knows……..
