Alan Alford’s new book The Midnight Sun: The Death and Rebirth of God in Ancient Egypt is released today. Meant as a companion volume to his previous book Pyramid of Secrets, the book argues that…
…creation stood at the heart of Egyptian religion and that the creation myth described the physics of the death and rebirth of the cosmos. Temples
and pyramids were built to harness the magical energy of creation and
thereby ensure the immortality of the world.
The book is 449 pages, and Alan describes it as his ‘magnum opus’. In fact, he is hoping it will persuade the authorities to search for the intact tomb of Khufu in the grottoes underneath the Great Pyramid. Good luck on that one Alan! A detailed description of the book is available on Alan Alford’s website.
