A Message from The Cave of the Grandmothers
Posted by Ishtar Dingir at 09:16, 17 May 2012I recently journeyed, in shamanic trance, to the Cave of the Grandmothers, an otherworldly location that exists in the Isle of Avalon, or the inner Glastonbury.
The Grandmothers ~ such a jolly crew, by the way! ~ made a big fuss of me! It was like a homecoming. But then, they got serious, and they told me that I need to concentrate on talking about the importance of re-establishing our connection with the Land, and also help more people to achieve that connection through shamanic healing work.
Later that evening, I was watching a tv documentary about Africa, and about a leader of the Ashanti who had been busy re-establishing his people’s connection to the Land again, after this former British colony returned to independence. He said:
“Without their connection to the Land, the people are just like so much chaff, and can be blown away at the smallest breeze.”
Without those long, spiralling deep roots to hold them in unity, they can be so much more easily divided, conquered and enslaved.
It is also through our connection with the Land that we feel the continuity with our ancestors, which is another spiralling tendril anchoring our Tree which runs deep into the Earth and then further, into the Lower World or Underworld. This holds us firm in the holistic multi-dimensional reality.

If you mean the Grandmothers, it was last Sunday. I wrote it all down while it was fresh in my mind.
