2005 and Beyond - Predictions
Posted by Bill at 20:25, 01 Jan 2005Nostradamus, Edgar Cayce, Mother Shipton - were these people able to catch a glimpse of the future? Are people alive today that are able to peer through the veil of time and see visions of things to come? Have you had a dream, a vision, or a peek at events that are to be?
We've searched the Internet for predictions for 2005 and beyond looking for the future. If you would care to share a prophecy of your own, feel free to post it in the comments section. But be aware that we will all review your accuracy in 2006.

Happy new year to everyone !
I hope, and believe, it will be a reasonably good year overall.
ok, you asked for predictions, so it's not my fault:
- Earthquake in LA on March 17th, afternoon local time. 100%,
but I'm not giving you the magnitude :-)
- Peace talks between Israel and Palestinians, mixed results.
I can hope. (95%)
- Asteroid/meteroite alarms, let's see, I say 3 of them (75%). Go ahead, correct my spelling.
- NASA's attack on the comet will upset some comet's rights activists
on slashdot.org (100%), otherwise no ill effects, comet will be ok (98%).
- Elvis will have a hit record (70%), but this will be covered up by NASA (100%).
- Chinese government will stay in power (99%).
- German government will excape an embarassing loss in their federal
elections, by not having any until 2006 (98%).
- New pope will be elected (70%), probably catholic (98%).
- Magnitude 7.5 or greater earthquake somewhere (99%).
- Bush administration to be blamed for most of these (98%).

I read somewhere that Elvis has got a hit record, that in fact he constantly outsells a lot of modern singers.
And yes, let's blame the Bush administration for everything.
What's wrong with your spelling?

I predict that the grail will be revealed, that the people will get it the world over, the christians will finally realise that when they are chaneling the holy spirit, they are the resurection of christ revealed, and with that the second coming is here.
Agencies in nederland and africa will come together utilising chaos theory, to coordinate a project, to refoliate the back eastern end of ethiopia and with that eritrea. as a side effect consequence of this, land pressure in sudan will decrease, reducing the need for violent tribal loyalty and the ethnic cleansing that goes with it. following from this into 2006, after consultation with Noble Tree Lady(Wangari Maathai), the chinese government will mobilize in that way that only the chinese can mobilize and with each citizen planting five trees a day, the Gobi desert will be completely reforested by the end of 2008.
In 2007 as a result of the band aid style public response to man's understanding of his interaction with the planet, the US government and nato allies will come to understand that their ownership of a pile of terrifying weapons of mass destruction has no positive effect on world stability, and finally find a less penis objected way to express their creativity.

Wow Bill, that numerology is really good. They got me right for the year. How on earth do they do that?
I like the predictions of the people ringing into Art Bell, particularly the one about the disease attacking our armpits.
Oh God, the horror of it all!
There were a couple of predictions that Saudi Arabia would suffer a coup and be taken over by Islamic fundamentalists.Maybe that could happen, but in a country where 10,000 people are close relatives of royalty and many more distantly related, and every one of them relying on their money from the oil wells, I just don't know.
I think I did some predictions once, and I must have got some right.
The one about Russell Crowe thumping a perfect stranger was true anyway.
I'll see if I can think of some more.

I predict that the poster on TDG called The Shadow will have a major dummy spit sometime just before Xmas.
This poster will rant and rave and create havoc because of being spoken to by, maybe Greg, over words said to, maybe Oscar.
This poster will then hover homeless in cyberspace and grab the first opportunity to slip back in while no one is looking and resume her place, presuming she is forgiven.
Let's hope my prediction is off.
Thanks everyone, I love you all,

I know how your head works......and it is scary but exciting at the same time........you never made a mistake, or wrongly objected to convictions of your principals.......it's the understanding of others and their acceptance that you are shy of......and believe me, you have no problem there. I can forgive anything because I would never presume to throw the first stone....for me to persecute sins in others would be to admit sins in myself....to throw a stone at a mirror is to bring 7 years of wow. Non of us can afford that.
I doubted your departure, but never doubted your return.
Rest easy shadow...we are all guilty of something....to be forgiven is to forgive.

I wish I was a whole lot younger than I am.
But it doesn't matter because having you for a friend makes a lot of things worthwhile.
BTW did I see that you posted here that you live at Allora? I thought you lived further over past Boonah somewhere.
I have a strange connection to Allora, will tell you about it sometime.

I was like, omg! This guy is really predicting the Saints to win the Super Bowl this year!
Yup, the end of times is nigh... and in hell, look for six-foot high snow drifts.
