Be still now and listen, for your chance may not come again…
- Bye-bye, biodiversity… The latest data shows global biodiversity slumping 27% in 35 years. More fascinating but depressing news here. And here, from the BBC...
- And with water in the West in short supply, Los Angeles joins the growing movement of cities drinking their own sewage. Will that be tap, mineral or... treated?
- Pre-cognitive bears & frogs? How else do you explain thousands of toads crossing town days before the quake in China? Or the strange behavior of pandas at the Wolong Nature Reserve. So long and thanks for all the fish, eh?
- Apparently, the Great White North is no safe haven for Holsteins. The day cow mutilations come to Canada…
- Just when you thought pulsars couldn’t get any weirder, they go and do this. And by this I mean binary, oval orbits (vs. circular).
- Mars’ north pole is layered “like French parfait”, claims NASA. Members of the Green Cheese Moon Society are not amused…
- The poles of Jupiter’s Moons can’t seem to stay in one place. Sounds kinda like this one cousin of mine.
- And if that wasn’t enough to flip your lid, here’s an uplifting glimpse at ‘Reactive Nitrogen’ aka the *next* pollution crisis (so says the article).
- How similar are human beings to fruit flies? Thankfully, not very – but not in the ways one might think…
- Important ozone-related molecule discovered on Venus. Anyone carrying a dog-eared copy of the 'Venusian Secret Science' will likely find this information redundant.
- Human Race divided (genetically) in two for 100,000 years due to drastic climate change. But history never repeats itself (because we always learn from it) and nothing like that could happen again... right?
- Did Magellan’s circumnavigation efforts get a little nudge from Mother Nature? If so, it’d be the first record of an El Nino event…
- New study from the Journal Science reveals water (and life) on Mars is likely below the surface. In other news… the Sun is hot.
- And speaking of hot (rim-shot) - Ever listened to My Morning Jacket? If not, here’s why you should give 'em a chance…
Quote of the Day:
"Small groups all over the planet are learning this, and exist to pass on the light of the dawning New Age to you all. You are free to accept or reject their teachings, but only those who learn to live in peace will pass to the higher realms of spiritual evolution..."

drinking sewage
Let me tell you, every last one of us drinks sewage.
You drink from a nice clear stream with pretty fish in it, and nice frogs and such animals. And the cute little birds that wash themselves in the clean stream. Well, you drink their excrements.
A nice big river that people upstream have put their sewage in? Same thing.
If you take water that has been used, and you clean it, then at least you know what is in it, and what is not in it.

Mi agüita amarilla!! :-)
Oh man! You just made me remember a song from my long gone days of my youth. (Warning: kind of gross, specially if you're drinking something)
If you don't understand spanish, I think you won't mind this time. Suffice it to say that the title means "My little yellow water". Nuff said :-)
