dear earthling, the wufo tv network has no marketing, sales, nor any other relationship with the washington city paper who did their own staff judging. are you always so cynical? we have happy vids to take care of this syndrome. but thanks for the comment, although it does not seem constructive. we don;t do gotcha journalism...there is a lot of alt knowledge to share with our viewers, so we just present it as we get it from our content partners. do you create anything that our viewers might like to see?

Really this is unrelated to my previous questions.
In many places, good old analog TV will go away very soon, as in less than a year from now.
How will small outfits like yourselves deal with that? Or do they have to, on the sending side?
I know that for consumers, they have to get a digital-to-analog converter to make their old TVs work. In a lot of places, poor people can get financial assistance for that.
But on the sending side, if you have your own transmitter, how will the regulators stop you from transmitting? Simply pull your license, and confiscate your equipment, put you in jail, that sort of thing?

Dear Earthing, let's get some basic facts correct....
everywhere in the USA analog broadcast television will be available for many years. it is NOT going away. over 2500 stations will stay old-school analog on through the DTV transition when the full-power "network" stations switch.
our stations will stay analog for years to come. and we also get a digital station to program.
viewers will still be able to use rabbit ears and antenna to get us. they can get a A to D convertor box but will need to make sure it can also get the analog whenever they want.
no federal government men in black have come for us yet so the way is clear to keep broadcasting all of the ufo/et content we aire. they can not just confiscate equipment, or put us in jail....THIS IS THE REAL WORLD...WE ARE REAL FCC-LICENSED BROADCASTERS.

I originally asked if there was any relationship between the paper that revommends the station, and the station. You have assured us that this is not the case.
I made an assumption, apparently incorrrectly, that the impending demise of analog TV in Canada (and yes this will happen in Feb 2010 for everyone who has a license here), was synchronized with the same in the USA. As you point out this is not the case.
Not reason to shout at me.
