Egyptologist Confirms Bosnian Pyramid?

Astraea Magazine is featuring a new and exclusive radio/podcast interview with Dr. Nabil Swelim, a professional and well-credentialed Egyptologist who says the ‘Bosnian Pyramids’ are man-made:

The Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun is the largest pyramid ever witnessed; it is an amazing structure of a great importance for the entire world. This is an amazing discovery and it is going to take us a lot of time to figure all this out, meaning how these fascinating structures were built.

This certainly gives supporters of the excavation something to crow about – Swelim has worked in Egypt on pyramid sites for some time, and certainly brings some authority to the claims of the Bosnian Pyramid Foundation.

However, on the flipside, the former chief geologist from the Bosnian Pyramid Foundation has made damaging allegations against Sam Osmanagic and the quality of science being done at the site. In an interview published at the end of November in the Bosnian magazine BHDani, Nadija Nukic claimed selective publishing of reports, announcements of ancient writing that was in fact newly carved, and use of an excavator, all cast doubts on the claims of the Foundation.

  1. But is it a tomb?
Is Swelim above being bribed? I’m not accusing him of taking bribes (that’s a lawsuit Greg doesn’t need!), but he hasn’t presented evidence why he thinks the pyramid is genuine. I don’t trust anything about the Bosnian pyramid.

And Swelim may be a decorated pyramid expert, but Zahi Hawass is a reknowned Egyptologist — and do we take his word that the Giza pyramids are tombs and nothing but tombs? 😉

    1. Dr. Swelim
I listened to Dr. Swelim’s interview on Astraea Magazine’s Web Radio and I was very impressed by him. He seems to know a lot about pyramids, he is confident and well-spoken. Your comment suggesting that he might be accepting bribes seems out of line to me, unless you know something I don’t. I am just wondering why you would say such a thing about someone who has degrees in Science, Archeology, and Egyptology, and has written books and published several articles in various science journals? Guy Leigh’s introduction said that his name was listed at the Monument at Sakkara Museum as “being one of the main archeologists in [the time period] 1850 – 2006.” I would think the guy knows what he is talking about having discovered 4 pyramids himself, one of which he mentions in the interview that reminds of him of one of the Pyramids in Bosnia. I’m not an archeologist, but it seems to me that after a lifetime of building a good reputation, he would be stupid to blow that on accepting a bribe. And, there is an important point I want to make about your comment that “he hasn’t presented evidence why he thinks the pyramid is genuine.” If you go back and listen to the interview, you will hear him say that he will be presenting his report on the Bosnian Pyramids soon. Maybe you should reserve your comments until you read what he has to say.

  2. It is not a pyramid – Dr. Schoch
Dr Robert Schoch famous for his scientific geological study of the erosion process of the Sphinx in support of Anthony West’s water erosion theory surveyed the Bosnian (so called) ‘pyramid’ and made these conclusions. (from his website)

    http://www.robertschoch.com/Bosnian_Pyramid_Phenomenon.html

“I maintain my conviction that there are NO pyramids at Visoko, Bosnia. Rather, all the so-called pyramids are the result of natural geological processes and phenomena that are currently being “excavated” (i.e., modified) to look like pyramids.”

“Also, certain “pyramid experts,” including one from Egypt who has been disavowed by Dr. Zahi Hawass, the Secretary General of Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities, have claimed that there are “primitive” pyramids at Visoko. I have looked at the exact same rocks and sites firsthand, and I believe that all of the so-called pyramid features are easily accountable for in terms of natural geological processes and features. ”

“I believe that the real treasure of Visoko may be a huge fossil biota just waiting to be uncovered, not some imaginary pyramids.” (!)

If we can easily brush aside Dr Schoch’s Bosnian (so-called) pyramid findings then we must also be prepared to do likewise to his findings regarding the rain weathering process of the Sphinx.

It is not correct to pick and chose what will fit one’s preconceived notion. It’s nice to think there is a Bosnian pyramid but the geology does not support it.

    Cheers
