Judgement Day on Intelligent Design

A big week in the evolution vs intelligent design debate, with the broadcast of Nova’s feature “Judgement Day: Intelligent Design on Trial“, which has not pleased ID proponents at all (and obviously evolutionists/atheists are happy). As usual, the friendly folks at Nova treat us all by putting the show online, with a transcript to boot. I’d write more, but Alan Boyle has done up a pretty good primer already over at Cosmic Log, so head over there for a more detailed look at the show.

  1. Not so fast….
It is not an either/or regarding Evolution/Intelligent Design. Obviously we are witness to evolution at work however if we look deep enough we also witness Intelligent Design. Truly, I am disappointed that religion has hijacked the concept of Intelligent Design but that does not change the fact that – everywhere I look in nature – I see incredible Intelligence at work. So incredible, in fact, that I have come to think of human consciousness as “the idiot on board.”

    1. Exactly
Peoples’ minds are so polarized between values.

Of course there is evolution. The problem is with the random factor. So far as I am concerned, this random factor is as stupid as creationism can be.

Scientists have a blind spot, whereas any data that they can’t gather for whatever reason ends up being a random value, or a fudged constant.

So, we have random DNA, random mutations, hell we have random consciousness, so then what is even the point of science? A result of random thinking?

Creationists on the other hand escamotate any attempt at a real explanation, offering that the mystery is too great to be apprehended. Well, one should always speak for himself, never for others.

Of course there is intelligence in the organization of the material universe.

One problem is to define what intelligence is in itself and we tend, because we start from memory, to mix the form with what organizes the form.

So, we think that a person who has lots of memory is an intelligent person for instance. We then tend to define intelligence in terms of the organized pattern and not in terms of the force that organize the pattern.

So, this brings me to say that intelligence is not the form but behind the form, so intelligence is energy and not its manifestation.

This means that man is not intelligent because he has memory but that he is intelligent because he is energy that manifests in a form. At that level, memory can be a hindrance since it tends to stop the movement of energy into a static form as the ego wants to own intelligence. Nobody owns intelligence, it flows through the mind and it is universal, like it is used to organize worlds.

Matter of fact, if we are the idiots on board, it is very much for our love of memory that really stops intelligence in its track, creating psychological time, a time that is the past, that reflects upon itself to remember in a perceived present and that projects itself in apprehended futures based on memorial extrapolations, futures of course that have nothing to do with reality.

Animals are psychic whereas man is both psychic and psychological. This psychological aspect shields him from his true intelligence that is purely psychic, this psychological veil is made of memories and reflection upon memories evaluated by emotional tensions and polarized evaluations of true and false, the fruit of the tree of good and evil. Where that memory integrated, man would reflect upon his faraway reality instead and would see clearly instead of seeing through polarized glasses.

Anyway, all this to say I agree with you.

      1. I am Stunned!
Thank You. I am stunned. Emerson said “you know Truth when you hear it, like you know that you’re awake – when you’re awake.” It’s a different kind of knowing or maybe it’s not a knowing at all, maybe it’s a resonance. I can’t thank you enough for your post; it’s my missing link….how hard I’ve tried to find it… and how easily it flowed out of you! I must sit with this… any recommended readings?

      2. Dyson
Greg recommended a book by Freeman Dyson some time ago. Dyson’s comments are very illuminating.

For example, a simple example for order arising out of disorder are snowflakes. Diffuse water vapour (gas) forms into highly organized structures. Does God do this every time a snowflake forms?

And he gives more example of “phase changes” like the snowflakes.

I don’t think it’s spam if I give the book details, since Greg recommended it already. Also it is not my book. So here it is:

        title:
A many-colored glass: reflections on the place of life in the universe
        author:
        Dyson, Freeman J.
        ISBN 978-0-8139-2663-6

If your favourtie bookstore can’t find it, than you should find another bookstore 🙂

But seriously, this is a good book to read, if you think that scientists automatically have a blind spot.

          1. Yes
I have many books, including that particular one.

Also, I have read more than 50% of the books I have 🙂

        1. Scientific blind spot
Of course, when I say things like that, I am making generalizations. But an individual remains an individual and there are indeed many scientists with an open mind but they will stick to their protocols and that is quite alright and necessary.

When a generalization is made, an individual should be able to know he does not have to wear the hat if it does not fit.

          1. Indeed
You are right, but still I find Dyson’s comments refreshing.

I don’t want to post the entire book here. For one thing, there is copyright.

For another there are bookstores, and also libraries.

            We forget about libraries.

We (not you Richard) want everything to be delivered to out computers. Within 2 seconds, and with no cost to ourselves.

Many university libraries give free access. And many community libraries give free access. And they will get books for you, if they don’t have them.

  2. Faraway Reality
    Hi Richard,

If you care to, would you please comment further on your statement:

“Where that memory integrated, man would reflect upon his faraway reality instead and would see clearly…”

    Thanks again, either way…

    1. In a nutshell
      Hi Kathy.

I hope this will make some sense to you:

Consider for a moment that the origin of consciousness is not in the material layer but originates from a central layer that constitutes a whole universe in itself and that is the cause of the organization of subsequent layers, all the way to matter.

Consider then that from this center, a line of energy moves forward, at speeds that cannot be imagined under material reality, and that breaks down at each layer of consciousness to become a form of consciousness until it reaches its terminal, in the most recessed layer of consciousness that is material consciousness.

This line, or ray, constantly looping back upon itself before it issued to auto-correct its movement. The energy constantly moving back to its origin to re-express its science infinitely from an infinite source, making it a perfect expression in universal time because the origin of its expression lays outside of time.

This movement is the reflection of spirit upon its source, outside of the form, therefore outside of memory.

This break down at each layer becoming a unit of consciousness, having its own unique rate of oscillation that are all tied along the axis of this line and that together represent the whole of the consciousness of an individual but that are not integrated into a single reality.

Then, consider that at the origin of consciousness of a person there is such a ray. That this ray moves across the spaces and times of those layers that represent super universes, up into material reality, but remains trapped.

As the ray seeks to return to its source, it reflects upon memory, returns to the reception point and creates intellectual reason that is forced to use what it reflects upon, in this case memory of the experience, consciousness of the origin is lost together with the ability to auto-correct, forcing the incarnated, then trapped spirit, to spring into another mode of reflective consciousness that insulates it from its science and creative power.

All this with a purpose, that of creating within matter a new evolutionary model that eventually manifests centricity relative to creation forces within a vehicle that allows moving that consciousness along all axis within those universes by fusing or merging all those consciousness principles into a single unit, which could only be achieved once energy had conquered the science of all created universes.

The destruction of this wall of memories that encapsulates the center of the soul, the activation principle behind the electrification of the material envelope, allows the ray to trace its way back to its origin but in the process subjective memory is lost. This means that sufficient inner strength must have been built by the unit of consciousness while in matter to support the total loss of psychological identity that happens with the transformation of memorial energy into pure mental energy. Until then, it is protected from outside assault by the impression of self based on reflection upon its memory that creates the false identity that we call personality that is simply a set of programmed attributes for the refinement of consciousness within matter, until that time when that consciousness is solid enough to absorb the energy of its reality. The inner strength is this force from which you know that you cannot lose your mind, it is the centricity of the soul and its total individuation relative to the collective undifferentiated original state.

The ability of the ray to conclude its movement upon itself allows the unit of consciousness to reflect upon its faraway reality.

This is the hidden reality behind the mystics’ words to the effect that man must return to light. He must return to his origin and find that he is much greater than all astral disinformation that always sought to keep him little, by thought forms, fears and spirituality, and maintain him trapped so that his energy could benefit the rulers of the local universe and their plans for their own evolutionary path.

Man does not return to light to lose his identity and blend back into some sort of great all. On the contrary, he loses his spiritual false personality to find his real identity that is already light. He is light within matter who was put to sleep by the lie that was forced upon him when he started to reflect upon the memory of his experience and saw thought forms replace his creation power.

He lost consciousness of his reality to gain memory of himself within the shell of his experience limited to a single aspect of material reality, secluded and disconnected by memory and death, death being a new state in the universe rather than an ancient one, a state that was created especially to trap the energy of human experience when he first incarnated in an animal body.
