During these times it is wise to read 1984. Such resonance only happens in physics and in life. Post your conspiracy theories. They probably make more sense now than they ever did.

Quote of the Day:

A myth is a religion in which no one any longer believes.

James Feibleman

  1. True to a point!
A myth can be a religion or related to a religion in which no one any longer believes. But, it does not apply to all myths. Furthermore, one persons religious realities are another persons myths.

    >>Post your conspiracy theories.

Most theories focus on what they believe the powermongers are doing. For some time now, I’ve been wondering why. The easy answer is more money and power, but that doesn’t really explain how they think.

I recently found the explanation I’d been looking for in Noble lies and perpetual war: Leo Strauss, the neo-cons, and Iraq. Here are a few excerpts:

The ancient philosophers whom Strauss most cherished believed that the unwashed masses were not fit for either truth or liberty, and that giving them these sublime treasures would be like throwing pearls before swine. In contrast to modern political thinkers, the ancients denied that there is any natural right to liberty. Human beings are born neither free nor equal. The natural human condition, they held, is not one of freedom, but of subordination – and in Strauss’s estimation they were right in thinking so.

…those in power make the rules in their own interests and call it justice.

A second fundamental belief [is] the need for secrecy and the necessity of lies. In his book Persecution and the Art of Writing, Strauss… argues that the wise must conceal their views for two reasons – to spare the people’s feelings and to protect the elite from possible reprisals.

The people will not be happy to learn that there is only one natural right – the right of the superior to rule over the inferior…

Strauss goes so far as to say that dissembling and deception – in effect, a culture of lies – is the peculiar justice of the wise.

For Strauss, the rule of the wise is not about classic conservative values like order, stability, justice, or respect for authority. The rule of the wise is intended as an antidote to modernity. Modernity is the age in which the vulgar many have triumphed. It is the age in which they have come closest to having exactly what their hearts desire – wealth, pleasure, and endless entertainment. But in getting just what they desire, they have unwittingly been reduced to beasts.

Only perpetual war can overturn the modern project, with its emphasis on self-preservation and “creature comforts.”

The combination of religion and nationalism is the elixir that Strauss advocates as the way to turn natural, relaxed, hedonistic men into devout nationalists willing to fight and die for their God and country.

    1. This thinking is controlling the world
      Hi kat,

Thanks for that, it is the answer, without a doubt.

In Queensland the free hospital system is going down the toilet very quickly. And I believe the situation is similar throughout Australia.
Yesterday a friend told me the gist of a conversation he had with the Medical Superintendant of a large surbuban hospital.
The Superintendant questioned why ordinary people who do not pay health insurance think they are entitled to free medical treatment.
(Mind you, if you pay health insurance, the way it is managed these days, you also pay huge medical bills).
He said that each should pay their way and that was the way it would be in future, and that poor people, that is, people who earn little or are on welfare, should not expect top rate medical treatment by the mere fact that they do not have the money for it.
I remember Robert Menzies, PM of Oz in the 50s and 60s saying that the ordinarly working man had no right to expect that he could afford to buy a refrigerator or a car.

I believe that America took the first step towards overturning the situation of the poor attempting to have a bit of disposable income when they decided that single mothers had to work.
Well, it wasn’t really the first step but it was another nail in the coffin of the poor whom the government has attempted to bury with their legislation.
The working single mother is to become a reality in Oz too, and that means more kids to run the street while their mother works, or the mother pays someone to look after her kids while she works.

Perpetual war is definitely the answer to changing the dynamic. But how do you convince the people about the scheme afoot to do this.
      You can’t.
Because the very people whingeing the most are those poor, the ones who are unaware or intentionally ignorant. They scream for the blood of the Muslim races because they are told by government that Muslims are evil and never take the time to find out for themselves.

Just as the winners write the history books so the powerful call the shots about the society we live in.
      Vale civilisation.

  3. Was a bomber superimposed?
The quite simply is no. I saw the moving images on the local news. Frame grabs are notorious for their lack of clarity, and after all, we are talking about a vhs source which has resolution of around 265 horizontal lines. Also vhs bandwidth give rises to all sorts of line timing issues arise which results in the anomolies noted in this report. Also the vhs recording was of the skip-frame / non 25 fps type.

  4. Killing

Why do Western countries kill so many more than suicide bombers?

Now was this bit of idiotic commentary really needed? After all, bathroom accidents kill more people than do suicide bombers. Those killed by despotic regimes in non-western nations far outnumber what western countries can even imagine. But maybe leaving those people to their fates is fine as long as we can find fault with the evil West, eh? But by all means, let’s make sure the West keeps the cash flowing. They are, at least, good for that!

    1. Yeah why do they?
The way I see it is that America is now suffering under a dictator but most of the people are not aware of it.
So my suggestion is that the rest of the world declare war on America to liberate them and get rid of the dictator.
That’s what America has been doing for god knows how long. And now it’s allies with it.

All in favour of a war say AYE!

      1. Humorous
Hehe, that’s pretty funny. If you don’t start writing down what you say and submitting it to Hollywood, I will, because it’s pretty damn entertaining.

        1. Thanks thrust
Yes I thought it was pretty funny too.
About as funny as all those innocent dead Iraquis and those poor bloody young men and women of America who are cannon-fodder.
Amazing where you can find humour when you want to isn’t it.

      Hi Anonymous

      >>Now was this bit of idiotic commentary really needed?

No, but what the hell. Enjoyed your first idiotic comment.

      >>After all, bathroom accidents kill more people than do suicide bombers.

Bathroom accidents have nothing to do with politics. So, your second idiotic comment.

      >>Those killed by despotic regimes in non-western nations far outnumber what western countries can even imagine.

Third idiotic comment. Well done, one should always be rewarded with special praise for a hatrick. Western countries need not imagine, as they have number crunchers to give them good estimates.

Non-western despotic regimes invariably are supported by the west. Suicide bombers have to use that tactic because it makes a statement. People do not give up their lives lightly. It takes an unwavering belief to allow for such a course of action as the suicide. It is much more difficult than Western Premieres and their decisions to send missiles, planes and tanks. Big governments are the true enemy. Without the transgressions of big governments, the terrorism of groups and cells would be a fraction of what it is, if it would exist at all: that, of course, is assuming big government isn’t on both sides of the equation, so that it always wins no matter what the outcome.

  5. perpetual motor,
A site that has been shut down, don’t know why, had plans of a 600 hp magnetic motor thats works. Among other plans were water purifiers and interstellar crafts, gravity nutrualises and blood purifiers. All based on earth magnets and using no feuls at all.
The plans were comprehensive and complete.
Before the site closed you could watch video’s of the working motors.
I don’t think the power mongers will let any source of free energy to be patented and manufactured.
Theres a conspiracy right there Kat.
We really need to splice out the GREED gene from our DNA.

  6. shuttle debate
    Hi Jameske,

I can’t really see why they are even debating over the shuttle. When I saw that bit of tile or whatever fall off the shuttle yesterday my blood ran cold.
If we ever really become a space-faring people we will have to thank these brave souls who dare to fly in second-hand, used up, cast-off old equipment, risking their lives.
    What’s a life worth?
Well, if you are an astronaut or a cosmonaut, not very much.
The same could be said about all the lives lost in this stupid &^%$#@*& war on terror.
Or, pardon me, whatever they call it now.

    Thanks for the news Jameske,

    love shadows
