The British Ministry of Defence (MoD) have released another instalment of their 'UFO files' to The National Archives, with the latest batch of declassifed documents covering the years 1986 to 1992. As with previous releases, the documents are accompanied by a helpful written guide as well as a videocast, both 'hosted' by British UFO historian Dr David Clarke. I've included the videocast below.
The files include some intriguing cases, including an encounter an Italian jet airliner had with a missile-shaped object, and also an American fighter pilot who was ordered to shoot down a UFO over British airspace. The latter in particular sounds destined to become a part of UFO lore, although David Clarke does give some other possible explanations which are worth considering.
There are 19 files available for downloading, ranging from 5mb in size up to over 200mb. If that's a bit much for you, at least check out the 'Highlights' guide which will point out the more interesting inclusions.
