Hofmann’s Potion

Featuring interviews and footage of the likes of Aldous Huxley, Albert Hofmann, Stan Grof, Humphry Osmond and Timothy Leary, Hofmann’s Potion is an intelligent, open-minded documentary about the discovery of LSD, it’s early reception and how public perception of the drug evolved. Well worth watching:

Worth it at the very least just to see the late, great Dr Albert discoursing on his ‘problem child’.

  1. Worth it at the very least…
Always nice to hear intelligent discussion on the topic of “narcotics,” especially from the horse’s mouth!

In my (biased) opinion the film is worth it at the very least just to hear mention of a little known corner of the world called Saskatchewan! Not a week ago before viewing this I was in the pub with a few friends of mine discussing how great a history our province had in the world of psychedelic drugs. Sure Dr. Osmond was British, but he was living here at the time, the term “psychedelic” a Canadian invention, who knew?
