This article:

by Ronald L. Conte Jr. named the new pope and predicts what is to follow. The Author also has a free ebook with this information. I checked the Wayback Machine and found that this is no hoax.

Here are a few other items you might want to check out.

The Bible and the Future of the World by Ronald L. Conte Jr.

The Secret of La Salette, Comparing the original 1851 version with the 1876 and subsequent versions. One of these versions was translated by Ronald L. Conte, Jr.

The author of this article, Cross-Correlating Recorded History Surrounding the New Testament Time Period with Exactly Dated Astronomical Events, gives Conte credit for most of the work:

"I gratefully acknowledge the tremendous work done by Ronald L. Conte Jr. in identifying most or all of the within correlations between historical and celestial events."

An interesting list of dated celestial phenomena follows. You'll need Quicktime to view the movies there.

Thanks, Kat.

I did d/l 'Future' and skimmed it. The same Benedict XVI statements are in there. I'll check out your other refs.

and it is interesting but how do you know he wrote that before Ratzinger was selected as pope.
If he did it's a pretty good job.

For starters, this paper on the pope prophesies was posted at TDG a few weeks ago. I think it was in a blog, but I'm not sure. You could use TDG's search function to find it.

Shadows,

IT's been a long time. It's nice to read your post again. Have you heard from floppy?

What do you think?

Saw your comment here and thought I should reply.

This is an old blog post from 2005 - neither Shadows nor Floppy have been on TDG for a long time now.

Nice to see you're still around, even if you don't post very often. Hope you are well.

Regards, Kathrinn

Kathrinn,

I just get busy, which is nice in a major recession. But, it's a perk of being self-employed with very low overhead. I can beat the competition on price, and do the same job.

When I have time to post, and respond to comments properly, I always post.

What do you think?

He didnt predict anything. He just read up on what others predicted (St Malachy).

The next pope will be Cardinal Arinze, who will be Pope Peter.
Now am I a theologian like Conte? Absolutely not. I just did what he did. Research and read.

Conte's site (Catholic planet) is way off base. He spends a lot of time sensationalizing one small part of the messages instead of taking the whole message to count (like reading 1 verse of scripture and claiming it to be false, without reading the verses before and after for the whole context of the verse).

He seems to do all he can to discourage devotion to anything. Can you imagine telling people he knows better than SAINT Bridget? I have read him say certain devotions are false, but what gives him the right to tell people not to pray to what devotion may 'speak to them'

Go in and read ALL his 'predictions'. They are ALWAYS WRONG. I commented on all his own false predictions on the site and he deleted my comments.
