7 Fortean Wonders of the World

As some of you may remember, several months ago there was an announcement by the Charles Fort Institute to emulate the highly popular - and controversial - online contest to designate the new seven wonders of the world.

A contest that, BTW, was won by Chichen Itzá in Yucatán, Mexico ;-)

So now, after they collected the choices submitted, the contest is now officially open, and everyone is free to choose which one is the archeological artifact, construction or mistery that best embodies the word Fortean.

There were a good number of choices I wanted to vote for, like the Olmec heads, but after a while I settled for Teotihuacán. May have more chance of winning since it is more known than other things like the pyramid of Cholula.

Not surprisingly, Gizeh was at the top when I checked the rankings (there were only 4 votes though)

thanks RPJ for this.....I voted for the starchild skull, reasons are because it is real, here and can not be denied yet is continually ignored because of the implications it may create.
Now that is fortean as I understand it....no?

As I understand it, they were about to announce the most recent results of the DNA testing, right?

It is a very interesting case. Fortean to the bones ;-)
