I just noticed the numbers. I have been here for more than 11 years. Kind of scary.
I'm only 6, still a toddler LOL
ALthough that's only when I officially joined. I read the news and blogs since 2005, so if that counts we are the same. I sadly didn't have a computer with internet until 2004 (with Windows XP and only 512MB of RAM...now that's scary!)
...I forgot how I got here but everyone seems to be heading off in that direction. I hope someone brought food. I have a feeling this is going to be a long journey................
And what have your learned during your residence in The House of the Grail? ;)
PS: Yeah, I'm not dead... yet.
It's not the depth of the rabbit hole that bugs me...
It's all the rabbit SH*T you stumble over on your way down!!!
Red Pill Junkie
You're still alive! LOL
Hope you found good summer work. Freelancing has been brutal for me :P
Brutality is certainly one way to look at my current work schedule. 11-12 hour shifts and constant urgent deadlines is supposed to be the norm in this company :-/
But what I resent the most is that I have been devoid of the time I used to have in order to indulge in my Fortean pursuits. I'm still hoping that will not be a permanent loss... it took many too darn long to create my digital persona, and no paycheck is big enough to renounce to my beloved red mask ;)
Long work days and frankly not making enough. I work remotely but have had little time to myself for anything. The clients have been absolute ball sacks! I think I must have went back and forth with one guy about 20 times in one hour! FFS man! Settle on something!
I am hoping to find a better job in September. I need a better paycheck or I won't be able to live.
PS - Sorry Greg and TDG, I would gladly support your Patreon or whatever, but I have no money. And sorry Earthling for kinda highjacking your blog post to bitch about work :P
The problem with these long shifts and constant pressure due to deadlines is that people end up making mistakes left and right. Then stuff catches fire, or blows up.
The battery problem on the new phone happened, I'm sure, because it was cheaper to recall the faulty ones than to pay the delay penalties.
We are the cat.
