Here in the land of Oz they have special days and weeks all the time.It always means you have to give money.
Anyone can do it apparently.I mean I could announce that in the second week of June it will be the National week of the Chihuahua and Parrot.Put 'em both together to same time.
Just because I have a parrot and 2 chihuahuas does not mean that this is a scheme to get money out of well-meaning people.Or that it is in any way connected to my own parrot and chihuahuas.
I will be taking up a collection soon and my enforcer EM will be around to see that everyone contributes.
