Gobekli Tepe is another feather in the human cap!

And there you go...One of my favorites, Gobekli Tepe is an example of us finally pushing back to an event that changed the primary mission on this Earth to the one we all are living at present — filled with wars and all sorts of destruction as per J. Douglas Kenyon, "We find the planet today in a near-psychotic state left to by traumatic events of an almost unimaginable magnitude that, thanks to a collective psychological defense mechanism, we cannot bear to remember. Today, psychiatrists have applied the term post-traumatic stress syndrome to a group of mental disorders that have been known to follow the witnessing of life-threatening events (e.g., military combat, natural disasters, terrorist incidents, serious accidents, and violent personal assaults such as rape). Symptoms of the disorder include depression, anxiety, nightmares and amnesia." This was written in regard to Velikovsky's books MANKIND IN AMNESIA.

SOMETHING HAPPENED WAY BACK THERE! I believe it was when the so-called Ice age dove-tailed from the Carolina Bays Event perpetrated perhaps by a combination of a polar relocation or a comet, or massive sun activity...Something reset the clock for humanity, a humanity that was once highly advanced in a way that only R.A.Schwaller de Lubicz has put forth in his book THE TEMPLE OF MAN. We were much more than we are now. We were better educated and lived on a higher level due to the fact that we used our entire brain and knew we were living in and through a means of motivation developed to explore this realm of physical reality. We realized our Soulular ability to Travel in Time/Space. Soulular Travel is what we are about. Somehow we lost our way long ago and tried to leave messages as to who and what we the multifaceted beings who can birth ourselves into this realm of physicality and do work here in this massive environment called Life. Gobekli Tepe is merely the tip of the Iceberg as is Puma Punku, Egypt, Peru, Bolivia and many other places on this Earth that would attest to the fact that we have lost our way and need to end this silly pursuit of selfishness and exploitation of one another. We once did not do this selfish thing that we do. We once were much more sophisticated and worked in harmony and coherency due to the fact that we were Educationally amplified. We came here to create this realm and have botched it. It is high time we woke up.

Yes. Impact events. Ancient man did not have the technology to deal with them, other than to try to predict when the next would occur, and to take shelter - thus the ancient astronomical works, and all the magical practices to try to stop them.

Once one of them had not occurred for a long time, people got fed up with the magical practices.

For the last 13,000 years, that "something" was usually cometary encounter.

We don't know if the Carolina Bays are related to the YD impact or to another impact event.

and here we don't go again, at least this morning.

Speaking about PTS, EF, what you and Charles are both involved in is trying to reconcile your religious beliefs with the reality of impact events. In your case, its a variant of theosophism.

Your evaluation shows you are intelligent and perhaps filled with wisdom. If you will indulge me to read R. A. Schwaller de Lubicz's The Temple of Man, I would love to discuss it with a learned mind. If you will, please read it and come back and discuss some of what you think is important.

Thank you for your evaluations.

Huh, what! Why is Grondine dragging me into this topic? I'm a Neo-Gnostic, remember? I don't believe there ever was a Golden Age. I think the story of humanity is one of misery from the very beginning until now. If there was a honeymoon, it was short. According to the Book of Genesis, Adam and Eve were kicked out of Paradise and literally commanded to go out and "subdue the earth", not "live in peace and harmony with the earth". If life was ever good, it was only for a select few that were willing to oppress everybody and everything else. But those select few were always conspiring against one another, so even life for the privileged ultimately became insufferable.

But, speaking of Gobekli Tepe, I caught a really interesting episode of the Lost Worlds series about the Hittite Empire called "Lost Super Power of the Bible". The documentary outlined a number of controversial events in the latter days of the Hittite Empire:

- the honoring of a request by an Egyptian princess to send one of their Hittite princes to Egypt in marriage. He was murdered en route.

- making a peace treaty with a lesser kingdom (Egypt).

- breaking of a sacred royal taboo of the Hittites relating to royal succession by king Hattusilis (who had usurped the throne).

- allowing power to be held by the Hittite Queen.

It occurred to me that the Hittite Empire was consciously established to symbolically represent a Neo-Atlantean power, and just as consciously caused to decline and fall just as Atlantis had. The Hittite capital was overrun by the "Coming of the Sea Peoples", i.e., Greek marauders after the battle of Troy opened up the flood gate. According to the legend, Atlantis was destroyed shortly after a failed military encounter with the proto-Greeks.

The last king of Hattusas, Tudhaliya IV, built a shrine called the Yazilikiah. The name of this monument sounds suspiciously like Hebrew names Hezekiah or Hilkiah, who presided over the holy sites of Jerusalem shortly before they were destroyed by Babylonians with the help of Greek mercenaries (and to justify Babylon becoming the greatest power in place of Egypt/Israel). History was repeated, quite deliberately once again, at the end of the Persian Empire, which also suffered a token defeat by the Greeks and was later over-run by them under Alexander. Although Alexander very much wanted to be considered King of Persia, he was nonetheless compelled, by tradition no doubt, to destroy holy sites in the Persian capital to signal the "New Age".

The Hittites had been a "designer kingdom". Their rise and fall mirrored what was known or believed about the Atlantean Empire. In order for Egypt to rise as the pre-eminent dynasty, the Hittites had to be set up and then destroyed. The Hittite history is a type of commentary on the far earlier "great civilization". By association we can deduce that Gobekli Tepe was considered an extension of the Atlantean Empire and its power. In order for the Egyptian New Kingdom to be legitimized as the greatest power of its own day, an Atlantean styled overlord had to first be defeated by Greeks, and even if the whole scenario had to be invented and scripted. The entire sequence was staged, not so much to justify a new regime, but renewal of the existing one. The Old Testament indicates that all the Great Kings of ancient times fancied themselves as Hittites (or Hethites, "terrorists"). The Bible is therefore suggesting that we shouldn't believe the hype about Atlantis.

In short, human history is complete madness. It is the cruel perpetuation of traditions (supposedly imparted by the gods), and long after any understanding of those traditions still remained.

And in shorter, I agree with Enigmni that Gobekli Tepe is a link to Atlantis, even if it is not the path to a utopian future.

I have always loved the Hittites and what they represented to history. I loved their pointed shoes too. I often have thought that some of them moved to Tuscany in ancient times to enjoy a better climate. They also took their pointed shoes with them in the move. Yes, tell us more of what you perceive.

The lesson of the Hittites is that the ruling power must shift periodically to "enjoy a better climate", i.e., a better position from which to exploit natural and human resources. It's happening right now in our own times. Hillary Clinton was the preferred candidate in the last US Presidential election. She was the closest thing to a queen available, being the wife a former President. My personal opinion is that a woman can be just as effective a leader as a man. However, in terms of the royal and ancient symbolism, the placing of a woman as "head of state" in a traditionally male dominated culture is strongly symbolic of a power shift, not necessarily in the ruling elite, but in geography. At the end of every major Egyptian dynasty you find a queen ruling as de facto pharaoh. This was their way of explaining a highly radical and traumatic change as "divinely ordained".

Promotion of a woman to the Presidency of the United States signals that Patriarchal power has abandoned the country for greener pastures. And we are in fact seeing wealth extracted from the US economy and transferred elsewhere in unfathomable quantities. The destruction of the New York trade center was another highly symbolic event. It was equivalent to the leveling of the Temple of Jerusalem. And in its place some propose to build a mosque! This is however much more than a shameless provocation being used to influence elections. It is a statement of intent. "Kingship" is in the process of being removed from the US and "carried off" to a more advantageous new capital, perhaps even in Arabia. A not so token act of destruction was necessary to "fulfill" tradition.

And we will be most fortunate if that is the worst violence and death inflicted during this inevitable transition. The people that actually accept a coming global "Great Tribulation" (if not outright welcome it as a "necessary evil") are those who have lost their grip on world domination and need a cataclysm to restore it! If a natural disaster does not present itself, then it can always be manufactured. Yet, there are very good reasons to think that a major devastation of Biblical proportions is on the way. Someone has to be prepared for it. Someone has to survive it and start the cycle again. The rugged individualist has almost no chance. The average office worker has no chance. If history is our teacher, it is those who are presently in power (i.e., the "Hittites") that have access to the food reserves, shelters, and military might necessary to ride it out and restore a new world order when it is over.

E.P. will likely say that the danger from space is over and we have nothing to fear but ourselves. I'm not at all convinced of that. And even if true, man's inhumanity toward man (and everything else) is unfortunately itself quite enough to fear. You have to be more than a little bit crazy to enjoy living on this planet. Thus saith the Neo-Gnostic.

P.S. The implication from studying the transitions from one ancient Empire to the next is that the rulers planned the fall of one regional dynasty and the rise of the next well in advance. There was of course always some disagreement within the royal family as to the exact implementation and timing, but when one people and region was tapped out, it was necessary to choose another. The world is much more complicated today, but the same type of consensus building is obviously going on with respect to creating a new world order capital where the regs are loose, the taxes are low, and resistance to tyranny is light.

Hi Charles -

You asked why I mentioned your name earlier. It is because I felt I could rely on you to handle EF here while I attended to some other business. You may wish to ho to the thread The Jump to the Future from the Past and pick it up from there.

I went back to EF's other recent blogs, especially the Machu Pichu one. Finally the battery died on my 'Droid and I had to stop. What passion for history!!

I don't have a clue about the Ome-goners. Are they like the Haley-boppers? It does raise a red flag with me. I'm always suspicious of cult groups (and groupies). Of course mainstream religions also use love as a weapon to seduce the lost puppies of the world. We all need love, so we're all vulnerable. That's why church and state were attached at the hip for so long.

It is interesting that you and EF are both career communication people. And to some extent both of you follow the "Chicago School of Journalism", i.e., it's not enough to merely report the facts, but one also needs to influence opinion. I'm a bit of an evangelist too. Can't help it. It's part of my upbringing and imprinting as the son of an Army Chaplain.

Turns out that I have something else in common. I was a one-time colleague of Bowen Loftin, the new president of Texas A&M. A little over a decade ago we worked on a Navy VR initiative, which led to the successful development of a VR-based training application for ship conning officers! (So I know about scams and conns, ha, ha!)

And I was somewhat surprised to learn that Bowen will be a keynote speaker at the upcoming convention for military training technology.

http://www.iitsec.org/attendees/keynotes...

My education and professional experience is in engineering (and simulation more specifically). I think that has given me a great deal of discipline, but I agree with someone else's comment (I think it was "earthling's") that technical people often don't make good alternative history/archaeology researchers. Engineering and reverse engineering require different mindsets.

But I digress. EF has promised to publish a book on his ideas. Until then I'll just assume he doesn't have anything! That's how I respond to people who speak in riddles and innuendo. But, I admit it must be nice to be retired (with money or not) and enjoy exploring the world and its wonders full time. Best wishes EF ...

You guys take me for someone important. I am just an old has been and nothing else. I love to think and I dream incessantly of various scenarios for ancient history, but you both have more than I would ever have. I am through with life, and you are starting with life. I say good luck to you both. I tried in my youthful days but the only opportunities I ever had just slipped away. I hope you both have better luck than I did. Good wishes to you both.
