Coincidence and Chaos theory
Posted by Carol_Noble at 01:11, 04 Apr 2010Recently I saw a programme about chaos theory, and it unpredictability, but it also stated that chaos tries to form order. A paradox that science is still trying to understand.
I believe that the process of chaos forming order involves pulling similar subject matter together, possibly in a pile, ready to be placed in a specific order. This is what we do when we clean up a very untidy room.
Coincidences have been occurring recently a lot, and the subject matter appears to be random, yet I think this is part of the pulling together of matter before sorting.
One subject that was a strong coincidence recently, was the word, "Dagestan". I heard of the additional suicide bombings in Dagestan, only days after the ones in Moscow. The name struck me suddenly. The second event was a Dr Who story, and lo and behold one of the characters was said to have been born in Dagestan. The following day, we decided to search our DVD collection for a film to watch on the computer, and eventually chose a film entitled ICON, and lo and behold, a bioweapon is set off in Dagestan!
Three times within three days, the name, Dagestan, is brought to my attention.
Some would think this is just a coincidence, but I had not heard of the place before this "coincidence". Geography has never been my strong point, and I don't remember place names very easily.
But could this be part of a larger attempt by the universe to "reorder" the chaos?

Carol - I think chaos only seems that way to us because we focus on the details. We are sometimes unable to see 'wide' enough to encompass the bigger picture. If we could it would reveal that the chaos was only a product of seeing just a small part of it.
In the analogy to tidying up a room, the stuff lying around draws our focus and we don't really look at what is containing it - the bigger room. The room doesn't change whether it is tidy or not, it simply becomes apparent and part of our focus if we look past the small untidy bit that draws our immediate attention.
Loved your other post on time, and all the comments. Hope you are well. Love, Kathrinn.

I'm savoring your comment re. chaos, and agreeing with it. From our tiny vantage point, many things look like chaos, but the fact that from such chaos comes order seems to suggest we don't know what's really going on.
I also like Floppy's analogy of ripples. To think that our actions create 'ripples' in the thread of life is an odd thing; maybe it's disturbing because it forces to think of the repercussions of our behavior.

Another aspect of this is the length of a path from where we are, to where we are going, or where we came from.
Our situation in life is like a point in space and time, where our relations with other people (as just one example) take the place of physical dimensions. It seems like the distances we can measure in terms of similarity between any points A and B of this life space are not the same as the length of the path between them. Chaotic spaces are like that - just that two points are close to each other doesn't mean you can travel between them easily.
In many cases it is even worse - we can spend a lifetime on a journey, and end up precisely where we started. Having moved with great speed and effort all the time.

to understand that one simple contept of life is the key to all things. Every action has a reaction, your choice is what type of reaction do you want? From how you treat yourself and others to animals to inanimate objects, all your actions from your choices determine the future actions around you including your own personal inviroment. These are the ripples moving forward through time. Even people you may never meet are reacting to your actions. I am right now and I like it, good reaction. This is "we are one" or "the all" concept. Now to refine that further and include your thoughts as well and we then have the complete "you create your own reality" senario. But you must realise that we are one therefore it is a co-creation of all.
It only takes one worn or broken part,no matter how small, to prevent the efficent running of a motor. Like all of us here, we have many parts not working properly and this is the cause of suffering and wars and all other undesirable reactions or effects.
I better stop here before it turns into sum sort of surman........ ;-{D

Just today, my hubby and I were watching an old repeat of "scrubs" and the patient looked familiar. I asked hubby, "isn't that Chandler Bings dad?" He said "yeah I think it is". Of course I meant Matthew Perry, And not Bing. His dad is named John Bennett Perry, and he used to do the Old Spice Ads.
A few seconds later, in walks Matthew Perry into the scene, and I was all... "OK now I know that is Bings dad!" LOL
But the third thing got me, (I don't watch tv ads, but this time had to, not by choice) A few seconds later an ad for Bing.com came on tv. LOL synchronicity?
Incidentally, I think things (chaos?) tend to congregate as if on the skin of a bubble. Trying to form a simple shape.

I have this sort of thing happen to me on a regular basis. Just last week i was sitting in the garage smoking a ciggarette, listening to the band TOOL, the song "46&2" the lyrics go:
"Shedding skin and
I've been picking
Scabs again.
I'm down
Digging through
My old muscles
Looking for a clue."
After that line and for the rest of the song i was going over in my head things like muscle memory, and Jungian psychology. Considering that is what the song is referring to anyways.. The song ended i was walking through the house to goto the bathroom and as i pass the living room , the television is on and a relative is watching a movie. I thought nothing of it, and paid no attention what so ever.Until i put my hand on the door-handle, my auditory attention was diverted to the television in the backround. At that single moment i listened in, a character in the movie with a foreign accent, asks ;
"Have you ever heard of muscle memory?"
My blood ran cold, and i laughed to myself. Time and time again, numbers, words and conversations present evidence to me, of an elaborate universal synchronicity. It's amazing.

the Celestine Prophercies explains this very nicely. The channellings of "Abraham" is probably the best source for understanding how we, our thoughts and the universe all work together.
The chaos theory is only that, a theory. When a pattern is so complecated it may seem to look like chaos. But there is a pattern resulting from reactions to a first event. Like ripples in a pond when they encounter obsticales. Sound waves are the same. If we could visually see sound waves, we we see the starting point then the resulting "chaos" of patterns as they bounce off everything they contact. Slowed right down you would see a definate pattern.
Muscles have memory as do certain arteries in the body. A lot of materials have memory as well, rubber and foam are an example.
Synchronicities and or "coincidence" are just an episode in a pattern like when a ripple has bounced of a rock and passes over the ripple from the source.
As for synchronicity, it is possible to see this pattern but it takes deep meditation and a good knowledge of all or most events leading to that moment.
When these patterns are understood the future events can be determined to great accuracy. Like a fortune teller, they have an understanding of these patterns. All patterns have predictability when enough information is provided. Like that TV show "numbers", people have a certain amount of predictability because of habit, emotional responce and personality. Add all that up and put in events that are high charged with emotion and you can predict what that person will do years in advance. This offcoarse dosen't mean it will, there is certain varibles that can not be predicted only because the patterns are so complecated you would need a super SUPER computer. But the possibility is there.
All this has no effect on free will, we are free to make our choices but we make these choices in the spur of the moment as more a reaction from the circumstance we are in which is determined by the overall pattern.
Very interesting stuff, all I can say really is when a "synchronicity" happens, then take very carefull note of everything around you, it could be an opportunity for something very good.

So many people have had similar experiences and thoughts. I don't accept that synchronicity is random. It is part of pattern we can't see yet.
Do we have to attune ourselves to see the synchronocities or does it just happen to some people and not others? I ask because there are some people who don't want to think a synchronous act is important, but I think it is, if only I could see how to use this information.
Any ideas?
I agree that if we can understand the pattern we can predict the future more accurately. I have been trying to do that for a long time, with some success.
Thanks for your stories and thoughts. I don't feel so isolated now in my perception.
Kathrinn, thank you for your thoughts. I hope you have managed to cope with the erratic weather recently.
Take care.

Thanks for your thought, Carol. The town in which I live was right in the firing line for whatever Cyclone Ului decided to dish out, but at the last moment it diverted slightly to the south and we suffered nothing worse than a a night of nail-biting, a 10 hour blackout, a few flattened fences and half a dozen downed large trees.
The city where my daughter lives, 120 miles south of me, suffered much more badly - power out for 4-5 days, trees and fences down, electric poles snapped off, garden sheds upturned and lifted onto roads etc. The valley behind the city, which climbs steeply to rainforest lost many large and old trees and there was some damage to buildings.
Between my town and that city lies a tourist resort town which suffered little damage in itself, but dozens of large boats were put aground, tossed onto rocks and/or sunk - millions in damage.
No one died, and all in all it was a good wake-up call for the many folk who now live on the coast here who have never experienced the real wrath of a severe cyclone (I have and its terrifying). They had a small taste of nasty, but it could have been much more serious.
Hope you are well. Love, Kathrinn

Kathrinn, I am glad you survived the cyclone okay. But so many strange environmental events are happening at the moment, it is hard to know what to expect next.
The Iceland volcanic eruption has caused a complete airspace shutdown in the UK today, and I don't think things will change too soon.
But the reactions and comments made in the media recently suggests there is little knowledge out there as to what is actually happen and what will happen in the future.
The ash cloud from Iceland is said to be high up, invisible, only a problem for planes, yet spokesperson for EU states the cloud is thick. Weather forecasts say the sky has been abd will continue to be relatively clear, but if this is so, then where is the thick ash cloud?
I worry that rain will come and the ash will be brought to earth, possibly onto reservoirs and farms. This will enter the food chain, and possibly cause health problems.
The officials say there is neglible health risks to the general population. So why did one person interviewed say that the ash was already landing in Shetland, and that the ash is very fine and a threat to those with asthma and respiratory problems?
Are the authorities aware of this?
If this sort of health risk is non-existant then I think the authorities have been overreactive.
The planes are in the most danger, and it is big business that will suffer the most.
There have been cases of engines being damaged by ash clouds like this, but up to now no-one has died from them.
What ever the truth, perhaps this will bring authorities to their senses about the extra runways they are planning - we don't need them!
On a more sober note, my sympathy goes out to those living in Iceland. This is a horrific time, and I hope they cope and survive this devestating event.
For something to survive and thrive something else must die.

Which is precisely why rains bringing down the ashes is right now the best case scenario, than having those suspended particles in the atmosphere.
As for the ashes contaminating the food, I highly doubt it. There's a reason lands around volcanic areas are so fertile.

Hi Carol,
I don’t have any data about the cloud as my internet connection is very poor and I struggle even to load the Grail.
Given the lack of visual atmospheric affects, namely it hasn’t gone dark or changed the colour of the sky, I don’t think it can be that thick. Obviously gritty enough up there to cause a problem for engines moving at 500 mph though.
I’d be tempted to say that you should distinguish between climatic events and geological ones. Cyclones and the likes are very different to volcanoes. The atmosphere is much more reactive to chemical inputs in terms of chaos than geological systems like volcanoes. Though you would no doubt see chaos in the mantle if you speeded up time I suspect you would need to be looking at far longer time periods even than that of our species; certainly far longer than the last few hundred years for internal earth dynamics. Changes happen, sometimes very quickly, but they are set in stone, so to speak.
Volcanoes really are quite well understood, even if not by the media. This one has erupted every 150 years or so over the last few hundred years and the typical eruptions have lasted about 2 years. It’s under a glacier at the moment though so it’s blowing big style as it is building up pressure beneath the ice then undergoing sudden decompression. These affects on air travel shouldn’t last too much longer – probably in the days, hopefully not into the weeks.
I’d go along with RPJ regarding health impacts. It might smell a little when it finally gets down here, but if you are healthy the impacts should be minimal. I would expect the high pollen counts in summer to be worse. The problem, as ever, is for people who already suffer bad asthma etc. I would honestly think any problems are going to be respiratory rather than food chain related. I don’t know if anyone knows the exact composition that is likely to come down, but bare in mind that we already eat the world anyway and if concentrations of metals and the likes got too high then water and food companies would have to stop it at source, but I really don’t think that is likely to happen. You would be at much more risk of other things if your were to drink from reservoirs and streams or eat food without washing it.
As for big business suffering most, when it does we all suffer since we are all tied together in our world. Prices go up, tax takes go down, government spending on health and education go down, tax rates go up etc etc etc. Having said that money rarely disappears (or at least that in our pockets) so people will spend it elsewhere so maybe it just means prices go up for airline travel, but then share prices are still affected. BA’s fell today from what I heard, surprise surprise, but since that means that shareholders lost money it all knocks back somewhere. Anyone got a pension? hopefully not one that invests in airlines today.
As for deredder, I don’t really know what’s strange about it. That’s like saying that it’s strange when you knock your drink over and the liquid goes downwards and not upwards; nothing strange about it. The Earth, beautiful old girl, has got spots, and they pop. It’s all perfectly normal.

I live in the north of England and I've been feeling the dust on my chest this afternoon/evening. Doesn't look like rain though so it could linger a while. Maybe these really strange meteorological/geological events are part of Gaia's 'reorder'-ing the chaos? And with a wisdom beyond that which we can comprehend.

What this is can be easily explained. You see, the vulcano will keep going for another 2 weeks or so. This will cause much darkness, and thus this summer in Europe will be cancelled. That is Gaia's comment on the anthropogenic global warming believers.
See, an easy explanation. Correct explanations may be more difficult.
