Near-Death Experience on the Cover of Newsweek
Posted by Greg at 02:24, 09 Oct 2012
It's always good to see coverage of the near-death experience in the mainstream media, and the cover of Newsweek is some pretty decent coverage:
When leading neurosurgeon Dr. Eben Alexander found himself in a 7-week coma in 2008, he experienced things he never thought possible - exclusively excerpted from his upcoming book Proof of Heaven, he shares his journey to the afterlife in this week’s Newsweek. Pickup the issue on newsstands Monday and for your iPad today!
More at the Daily Mail and the Daily Beast, and the video below (from Through the Wormhole) offers a quick introduction to Eben Alexander and his NDE:

I could take him more seriously though if he wasn't wearing a bow tie.

Theresa Caputo, the astonishing "Long Island Medium," is really turning heads with her show on The Learning Channel. It is getting stellar viewer numbers as it should. Her performances are ground breaking, and will blast open the whole subject of after death in the wider society,

Glad I'm not the only one that had that thought running through their head.
Kind regards,

If he wore a massive scarf and offered me a jelly-baby, he'd have me on his side.
Kind regards,

I just watched this the other night and naturally found the story very interesting - but I think what struck me most was the narration by Morgan Freeman! That guy has a great voice. I can see why some people say they'd want him to narrate their life.
It brought another layer of depth and mystery to the video, for me.

Its kind of funny, Newsweek seems to be having a NDE of its own:

Perhaps they're hoping to jump on the paranormal/spiritual/religious bandwagon to keep the wheels turning.
Also, skeptiko did a good interview with Dr. Alexander about a year ago.
