Spirit Molecule Documentary

Machine elves, start your engines: the much awaited documentary DMT: The Spirit Molecule will have its first showing next week, on 26 September, at Alex Grey’s Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in New York (visit the link for details on tickets). From what the producers have said it sounds as if the doco will be released as a DVD very soon as well, and Australian readers will be happy to know that the film will be shown in various cities in December.

Here’s the trailer:

You can also view interview excerpts with the likes of Erik Davis, Graham Hancock, Rick Strassman, Alex Grey, Stan Grof, Benny Shanon Huston Smith and many others on the interviews page at the official website. Looking forward to this one.

  1. DMT – Need to know more!
Not to go off topic, but just finishing Supernatural – better late than never – in which DMT features. DMT is a conundrum. I think Graham covered most of the possible explanations. Interesting observation not made in the book: The bible associates the fall of man in the Garden of Eden to the seduction by a serpent/snake, while virtually all shamanic hallucinatory experiences using DMT based hallucinogens involve the appearance of serpents (among other forms) – ultimately revealed as teachers of knowledge either as spirits/entities from other dimensions or possibly a symbolic representation of our DNA strands/junk DNA that are sophisticated programs ready to give us the secrets of the universe when we are ready/smart enough to receive them. In Eden – the snake seduced man into eating the apple, causing the fall of man from innocence by the gaining of wisdom and mortality – this parallels both ideas that these serpent forms (spirits/sophisticated programs) taught us symbolic intelligence 30,000 to 40,000 years ago awakening us from our animalistic existence starting us on our journey to modernity. Is it possible the Eden story is a coincidence, an allegory for man’s awakening through shamanistic experiences, or perhaps the belief by its purveyors that these serpent teachers from other dimensions are truly nefarious with self-serving motives? I was only vaguely aware of DMT until recently, but now I want to know more. This documentary looks excellent – especially as I am eternally on a search for the meaning/true reality of our existence here, rather than just be-bopping mindlessly to the grave.

    1. OoooOh!
Greg H. I <3 the idea of linking DMT with the ancient legends of the serpent and the garden of Eden! Even if they are not really linked, it prompts a lot of interesting ideas.

Thanks Red Pill Junkie for the heads up on the book “Magic Mysticism & the Molecule”. I read your review. Sounds interesting and clearly along my lines of interests. I’ll check it out. It sounds like it covers several topics in my periphery of knowledge I’ve wanted to research further.
