Nice to know there is a group of physicists that don’t go along with the current cosmological dogma:

Last night I watched an episode (Season 1, Episode 8) of Space’s Deepest Secrets called “Quest for the First Star.” I have to say that the prevailing model of the big bang just doesn’t make a bit of sense to me. This documentary states that the first star didn’t form until around 100 million years after the Big Bang. It states that, initially, matter was extremely scattered, yet the first stars were still the largest. These stars were therefore the shortest-lived, but we are beginning to discover stars that are dated to the early Universe (presumably because they are the most distant from us, but that wasn’t made very clear).
