News Briefs 07-10-2015

Not the end of the world. Or the end of the week.

Quote of the Day:

The world is not made of atoms. It is made of the stories we tell about atoms.

  1. news
Buffalodile: It’s clearly a buffalo, a calf. The nostrils are clearly a buffalo. It’s head looks smashed in and its hide had either been burned or caked in mud. Baby buffs don’t have horns that early, though they could have easily been removed.

George Noory: I’m sorry but this Presidency is such a circus and no amount of Noory can nor should try to help. Please stop. We seriously need to take this seriously. I don’t hate Noory by no means, but this has got to stop.

10% of the brain thing is a myth. If we only used 10% we would all be mentally incapacitated and in vegetative states.

Dragon: Look at all the comments on that video. Well at leat this dragon has a fan base. Too bad it’s probably just another rock. Otherwise this:

  2. Never-titi
Some good sleuth work by Reeves for sure. But, we seem to be forgetting that Nefertiti died in total disgrace and her mummy is convincingly that of the “Younger Lady” with the smashed in face. Also, if at least some of Nefertiti’s grave goods were used for Tut’s burial, how can Nefertiti’s tomb still be in tact? It is more reasonable that some of Nefertiti’s grave goods might have been adapted for use in her son’s tomb, because Nefertiti was not given a proper burial. (DNA tests indicated that Tut was the son of Nefertiti and Smenkhkare, no matter what Hawass wanted it to be.)

Also, whatever happened to the conclusion that Tut was buried in a tomb originally intended for Aye. This is still the best theory. It is also confirmed by Ahmed Osman’s insight that Jesus of the Gospels (the N.T. parallel of Tut) was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea (the N.T. parallel of Aye).

So, whatever they find behind the wall in Tut’s tomb is probably part of the original tomb of Aye. I suppose part of that tomb could have also originally been reserved for Aye’s daughter Nefertiti, but that doesn’t seem to fit with tradition either. Weren’t queens typically buried in the Valley of the Queens, or at least had their own separate tomb in the Valley of the Kings (ala queen cum king Hatshepsut)?

Anyway, certainly there is no harm in exploring, and it’s good to see Reeves back in action.

P.S. I like this story so much I did a blog about it.

  3. Regarding MARS Protection Officer article.
All this crap about how NASA cannot allow MCR to inspect areas where Water may be in relative abundance is beyond suspicious: it is preposterous! Why? Simple! The very idea that we would deliberately land a Rover on MARS at all must imply that such a Rover is relatively sterile, and that even though there might be a small amount of Earth Organisms that somehow survived the trip, cannot be a serious threat to Native Martian Microbes. Why? Because of three simple reasons: 1. MARS and EARTH have experienced tons of debris from one-another for Millennia, and Panspermia also means that no planet, not MARS, EARTH, whatever, can be protected. 2. Any Native Micro-Organism would have an overwhelming advantage over a Non-Native ( non-MARTIAN ) one. AND 3. FINDING evidence of LIFE on MARS would change the way HUMANITY THINKS and BEHAVES for the BETTER…so much so; that we would then have a significantly better chance of SURVIVING AS A SPECES !

I think some people at NASA are simply trying to prolong things for ulterior motives. IF SO; why?
