I feel like a Podling who’s had his essence sucked out by a Skeksi…

Quote of the Day:

“I do believe in an everyday sort of magic — the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we’re alone.”

~ Charles de Lint

  1. dark crystal
how that movie and movies like it didn’t mess me up as a kid I’ll never know, but that being said I wish kid’s movies nowadays were allowed to be like this.

    1. Great Conjunctions
I saw The Dark Crystal at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre when it first came out. What a special place to see it! Built in 1929, gargoyles, dragons, and hippogryphs adorning the exterior, minaret towers and a grand interior… seeing The Dark Crystal there was a very powerful experience for a 10 year old! The Dark Crystal, Labyrinth… they just don’t make movies like that anymore. Lightning in a bottle.

      1. There you go!

        Exhibit A & B, ladies & gentlemen. I rest my case 😛

  2. skull on mars
No it looks like a rock. These people who write these articles need to do some rock hounding and skull collecting like i do on my days off. Rocks break in different ways depending on their composition. This looks very similar to how flint breaks, possible due to the volcanic history of the planet. It does not look like a skull, nor did that rock before look like a petrified iguana. I know people like to believe and hold out some dim hope that life is going to be THAT EASY to find on Mars, but if we do find what scientists call “intelligence” it wouldn’t be on the surface, just sitting there. That’s just too easy. It’s like watching clouds. Just because a cloud looks like a dog doesn’t mean it barks.
