“If we can really understand the problem, the answer will come out of it, because the answer is not separate…”

Wishing RPJ and everyone else celebrating their terrestrial years atop the globe the happiest of days and years ahead!

Quote of the Day:

“To understand yourself is the beginning of wisdom.”

Jiddu Krishnamurti

  1. Terrestrial years
Thanks you so much for the kind wishes, bro! It’s funny how you worded it, since just last night I had a very Inception-like lucid dream episode that slowly turned into a veritable Cinemax moment –who knew I was into female dominance stuff?– so I guess that was my birthday present from Ideaspace 😛

  2. Open access journals not worse than “good” journals
The peer review process is a joke anyways.
Why not test “real” journals that way? Ah, because these basically “review” affiliation.

The best thing is critical readers/ a knowledgeable community.
The trend is the reverse, not only in science. Just look at the stock image that goes with The Guardian article (illustrating how not to use a pipette), it says it all: crap rules.

      1. WHAAAT??
You seriously underestimate the damage my ear drums have received during rock concerts, sir 😉

Or maybe that’s part of the conspiracy: post videos of the models with the lawnmower motors, while secretly developing the nuclear-powered ones for stealth missions!

  3. Almost not quite hardly… or maybe nearly?
Tut’s fake tomb, taken into context with the recent trend of ‘science’ websites killing off public comments, leaves some small degree of concern about where the ‘mainstream’ is going.

That said however, when Tut’s faux tomb is reconsidered into context with something like a carnival sideshow or even a Disney World attraction, there is a possible fit when it is also braced with an adjacent souvenir photo booth and a Facebook entry page.

This could work! Zombies dressed in Egyptian garb rise out of tombs and from sarcophagi to chase future scientists screaming into the MacDonald’s just down the dark hallway!

I would watch that movie 😛
