An Irish musician has specialized in the area of Bronze age music for some decades now. He has actually played some horns, trumpets and other instruments from the Bronze Age held in the National Irish Museum. He has also recreated some of these instruments and have given many public performances on them.
This is his site and may be of interest to the general reader. http://homepage.eircom.net/~bronzeagehor...
There is a very famous ' otherworld' or 'fairy music' that a fiddler heard while at sea in the vicinity of the Blasket Islands in South Kerry. One explanation advances is that what he heard is the singing of whales. Whatever: he absorbed the sound and musically recreate it afterwards. This is a piper version of the air.
