Any link to New Scientist brings up a "Oi user no, not until your registered" blocker, its not that i've got any thing against NS but being forced too register raises my anti authoritarian hackles.

well, if that wasn't a biased bit of writing, I don't know what is.
Why can't people stick to the facts. He clearly throws BS in there as if it is a well known fact. Australia is NOT in the midst of a 13 year drought. I'm sure it has snowed like crazy in Washington before and a good chance it has rained in Canada in the middle of winter at some time.
What is fact is the earth has been cooling since 1998. That is easily varifiable. The oceans are not rising, galciars are not receeding at most places and are growing in some places.
The weather has not gone haywire and storms are no more frequent or intense. CO2 is lower then it has been at different points in the past.
BUT, we have known that renewable energy is the way to go for 40 plus years. It's just hard to impliment this when too much money is at stake. The military and industrial complex has engineered this CO2 BS so it can maintain profit while decreasing the income from fossil fuels. They own the governments.
