Quote of the Day:

Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

  1. Man writes with both hands
In 1969 my high school Spanish teacher had this ability. One day in class he stood with is back against the black board, and wrote Spanish with his left hand and English with his right … and wrote the Spanish bact to front! Both sides were legible. I stopped him in mind lecture and asked him if he was aware of what he had just done (he checked his fly). His backward writting was, apparently, done subconsciously in the heat of battle … his lecture.

  2. Interesting finds
Not a particularly large nunber of items today but I found a larger percentage than usual piqued my interest.

‘Honored’ by bad Astronomy was quite funny, especially if you follow the thread to the forum from the article.

There are also elements of concern with the Space War article.

There is of course the additional link to the quantum entanglement and its possible (it sounds like a close shot to me) link to mass. I remembered that the first time I read about this possibility, what came to mind was that it could also lay out some basics for telepatic properties and mechanisms for those that will wish to look in that direction.

  3. More Items
CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) – Earthlings are about to be treated to a total lunar eclipse, just in time for Halloween. For more than an hour Wednesday night, the moon will be covered entirely by Earth’s shadow and resemble a glowing pumpkin.

With the Earth passing directly between the sun and the moon, the only light hitting the full moon will be from the home planet’s sunrises and sunsets, thus the orange and red hue.

Also, Scientists in Australia have found a new species of hobbit-sized humans who lived about 18,000 years ago on an Indonesian island in a discovery that adds another piece to the complex puzzle of human evolution.

-For fook sake, have a nice day!

  4. wow…
…is it just me, or does the rat braincells/petri dish thing have huge implications about the nature of consciousness?

Course I’ve just had a few pints of fine Dublin Guinness, so the nature of consciousness might be somewhat nebulous right now…
