Authors of the Impossible and Esalen

Film-maker Scott Hulan Jones has posted a 13-minute video 'pitch piece' for his documentary Authors of the Impossible, based on the book of the same name by Jeff Kripal. The video is "still in very rough form, but it will give you an idea of the tone and subject matter of the film". It does so by starting off with a number of contemporary paranormal stories and the effect they had upon the individuals involved:

Remember too that I posted an excerpt from the book here on TDG late last year, "Jacques Vallee, Author of the Impossible". Authors of the Impossible (the book) is available to buy from Amazon US and UK.

Incidentally, Scott Hulan Jones is also working on a documentary about the mecca of human potential studies, the Esalen Institute (again, based on a book by Jeff Kripal), and he's recently posted the trailer for that as well:

I live in Fayetteville, AR and knew the dowser Harold McCoy cited in the third story for locating a lost harp via map dowsing.. Harold dowsed my water well on some property I bought back in the 1980's and upon which I now reside. I know several people who had their homes "realigned" energetically which he did by dowsing geopathic stress lines and then hammering welding rod into them to derail them where they intersected with the home. At the time I knew Harold I knew nothing about orgonite which is such an incredible material to work with, and which requires no particular expertise to place in such a way as to cleanse and vivify a home.
I wish I could have got Harold's take on orgonite, but he died about the time I discovered the stuff.

Have you read any of the things Loren Coleman has posted about the 'Fayette Factor'? Basically, the Fayette name is a magnet for weirdness and synchronicities.

It's not the depth of the rabbit hole that bugs me...
It's all the rabbit SH*T you stumble over on your way down!!!

this is fantastic. the Doug Moench story was posted on here several years ago and I've been searching for it ever since, having not remembered anything about the guy. Helps tremendously.

Moderator note: Yes thanks for those positive comments, you sneaky piece of sh*t. I've cut out your hidden spam links, deleted your other posts and brought down the ban hammer on your head. Thanks for wasting part of my day, along with the rest of your spam buddies - you're all a truly disgraceful bunch of people.
