Most scientists remain puzzled by the “sense of being stared at”, best described in Rupert Sheldrake’s eponymous article in the Journal of Consciousness Studies. Investigated by many people, from Edward Titchener’s seminal survey to Sheldrake’s contemporary inquiry, the phenomenon’s been replicated many times but some remain steadfastly skeptical.
